Trusted Trader Scheme Welcomes 100th member

Having only launched in March the Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Trusted Trader scheme has recently welcomed its 100th member.ATD Electrical from Kirkcowan, Newton Stewart was delighted to be the scheme’s 100th member and had the following to say:

“ATD Electrical Services are very pleased to be a part of the trusted trader scheme. We know how important it is to have an Electrician you can trust and rely on. Our customers recommend us and this scheme enables others to find traders like us that they can trust and know will do a great job.”

The scheme has had much success since its launch in March this year. Recent statistics from consumer feedback forms indicates that the scheme has brought its members £147000 of new business. Quotes from scheme members would support these statistics and demonstrate that scheme membership is helping to boost local trader.

Trusted Trader has also become the ‘go to ‘place for consumers with on average 2000 local consumers visiting the Trusted Trader website on a monthly basis. The scheme was established to help consumers avoid rogue traders by sign posting them to a list of honest and reliable local businesses. Scheme members have been inspected by Trading Standards have agreed to a strict code of conduct and are supported by verified consumers’ reviews.
